Victoria Police release their latest DIVISIONAL VAN
After 10 months of development, Bellmont Nominees Pty Ltd, in conjunction with Victoria Police and Holden, have just released the new “Centaur” Victoria Police VE Divisional Van at a presentation held at the
Royal Melbourne Show grounds, 16th September 2009.
The first, of a number of innovative automotive products to come under
Bellmont’s new branding name “Centaur”, which will be launched over
the coming months. Tony D’Alberto, V8 Supercar Driver, will be helping
to launch the “Centaur” brand into the market place with a range of
media and marketing activities.
The new Centaur POD has been a comprehensive vehicle accessory
development in conjunction with program partners‐ Victoria Police and
Holden. This existing new product is the replacement vehicle for the
existing Victoria Police Holden Crewman Divisional Van.
The Centaur POD is fitted to the latest Holden Model Year 10 Commodore
Ute, and over the next 15 months over 200 vehicles will be rolled out across
Victoria and should provide a superior level of service and reliability expected
by both Police and the public alike.
This development has been a breakthrough in engineering and design,
incorporating a number of key features, including electronic and safety
features not seen in these types of vehicles before, offering benefits for both
occupants and officers.
Most importantly this has been a great example of Australian industry
ingenuity and in particular, local Victorian manufacturing. Bellmont and its
team of skilled craftsman are very proud to be of involved in such an exciting
vehicle development.
This Centaur product will open up further opportunities, due to the product having numerous variation capabilities, and options to suit
many end users, and markets, both domestic and export.
